MacBook Touch Bar Repair Prices
If your MacBook Touch Bar has gone dark, become unresponsive, or started glitching, it is likely a fault with the sensor module, the display strip, or the connection into the logic board. This is a common issue on models with Touch Bar, especially following light liquid exposure or impact around the top case.
At iCorrect, we carry out precise MacBook Touch Bar repairs by replacing the specific component at fault. That could be the Touch Bar itself or a damaged component on the logic board. Unlike Apple, we do not replace the full top case or the full logic board. Our approach is more sustainable, avoids unnecessary cost, and restores your MacBook to full working condition.
Every Touch Bar repair is tested thoroughly for brightness, response accuracy, and touch input before your MacBook is returned. It will look and feel exactly as it did before the fault developed.

Our Process
The Touch Bar may have been discontinued in newer MacBook models, but for millions of users still using the 13 and 15-inch models that featured it, it is still a key part of their MacBook’s value and functionality.
When the Touch Bar fails, the MacBook becomes harder to use, and the resale value drops significantly. That is why it is always worth repairing. We replace just the Touch Bar when possible, using original Apple parts tested in-house. If we find that the fault lies with the logic board instead, we repair the affected components rather than replacing the entire board.
We test each system fully to confirm the cause of the issue and repair only what is required. Your MacBook is returned in factory-standard condition with a full two-year warranty.

FAQs
Learn more about iCorrect, the essential repair services that we offer and the warranties that come with each repair.
Why is my MacBook Touch Bar not lighting up or responding?
This is a common issue. The Touch Bar is made up of a display strip and a touch sensor module. If either of those fails, or if liquid enters the connection point near the Touch ID button, the entire Touch Bar can stop working.
We recommend having it inspected as soon as possible. The Touch Bar connects directly to the logic board, so ongoing faults or moisture exposure can eventually damage the board. In most cases, we can resolve this by replacing the Touch Bar and restoring full functionality.
Can the Touch Bar be repaired or does it need to be replaced?
It depends on where the fault lies. If the Touch Bar itself is damaged, we replace it with an original part. If the fault is on the logic board, such as a failed controller or connector, we carry out a board-level repair.
We always test first and repair only the affected component. We do not replace the full top case or logic board unless there is no other option. That is what makes our repair more sustainable and more affordable.
How much does it cost to repair the MacBook Touch Bar?
Touch Bar repairs at iCorrect start from £179. The final cost depends on the model and whether the fault lies in the Touch Bar itself or the logic board.
All repairs are completed with original Apple parts, tested, and covered by our two-year warranty. Repairs typically take two to three working days, or sooner with our express service.
Can liquid damage affect the Touch Bar?
Yes. One of the most common ways liquid enters the MacBook is through the small gap between the Touch Bar and Touch ID. Even a small amount of moisture can affect the touch sensors, the display, or the connector leading into the logic board.
If your Touch Bar is not working and there has been any contact with moisture, we strongly recommend booking a diagnostic. That way, we can check whether the logic board is affected and confirm the safest repair option.
Can you repair a Touch Bar that is flickering or partially working?
Yes. A flickering or dim Touch Bar usually means the LCD or backlight strip has been damaged. In these cases, we replace the full Touch Bar assembly.
This is a straightforward repair and will fully restore brightness, touch response, and layout accuracy. We always test the new Touch Bar before reassembly to confirm the issue has been resolved.
Can you repair just the Touch Bar or do you replace the whole top case like Apple?
We repair just the Touch Bar. Apple’s repair policy involves replacing the full top case, which includes the Touch Bar, keyboard, battery, and trackpad. That approach is expensive and creates unnecessary waste.
Our repair costs less than half the price of Apple’s top case replacement and delivers the same result. We use original parts, complete all checks, and return your MacBook with full functionality restored.
Is the Touch Bar linked to the keyboard or logic board?
The Touch Bar connects directly to the logic board. It is separate from the keyboard, though they both sit in the same top case.
That means any input you make on the Touch Bar travels straight into the board. If the Touch Bar fails, we always check for logic board damage before completing the repair.
How long does a Touch Bar repair take?
A standard Touch Bar repair takes two to three working days. That includes pre-repair checks, full disassembly, part replacement, reassembly, and quality control.
If you need it faster, we offer an express service. When booked in advance, we can often complete the repair within one working day.
Do you offer a warranty on Touch Bar repairs?
Yes. All Touch Bar repairs are covered by our standard two-year warranty. This includes any issues related to the new part, the repair process, or workmanship.
We log all tests, photos, and part details during the repair. If anything goes wrong within the warranty period, we will re-inspect and resolve it at no additional cost.
Can you repair Touch Bar faults that Apple or other shops said were unrepairable?
Yes. This is one of the areas where we stand out. Many shops, including Apple, will recommend replacing both the logic board and the top case, or they will tell you the MacBook is beyond repair.
We do not accept that. We isolate the issue, confirm the failed component, and repair or replace only what is necessary. That saves our clients hundreds of pounds and keeps perfectly good parts out of landfill.
