iPhone Earpiece Speaker Repair Prices

Earpiece speaker issues can be caused by age, moisture, or physical damage. In some cases, the fault appears after a screen replacement carried out elsewhere. If the screen has been incorrectly fitted or sealed, it can affect the earpiece connection or block audio. In these cases, we test both the speaker and screen module to confirm the true source of the issue.

If your speaker fails due to a deeper issue, such as a microphone array fault or logic board-level damage, we will let you know immediately and convert to a full diagnostic. Most of the time, a simple speaker replacement is all that is needed to restore proper function.

We only use original parts, and every earpiece speaker repair is covered by our two-year warranty.

Our Process

Face ID modules are uniquely sensitive components, paired to your iPhone through a secure chip. From the iPhone X onwards, Apple has made this part integral to both the front camera and dot projector. We replace the entire Face ID module, including its secure hardware, and calibrate it using Apple’s official tools.

Repairs take approximately 2 to 3 hours and must be pre-booked to allow time for part ordering and serial number registration. We do not keep Face ID modules in stock, as they must be ordered per device.

Whether your Face ID failed after a screen repair, water damage, or without any warning at all, we can restore full functionality using the same method Apple uses. That means your iPhone remains secure, verified, and valuable.

FAQs

Learn more about iCorrect, the essential repair services that we offer and the warranties that come with each repair.

What are the signs my iPhone earpiece speaker needs repair?

If you cannot hear the other person clearly during phone calls unless you use loudspeaker or Bluetooth, your earpiece speaker may be failing. Other symptoms include muffled sound, crackling, or total silence from the top of the phone.

We test the speaker before and after the repair to confirm the fault and ensure full restoration of audio quality.

How much does an iPhone earpiece speaker repair cost?

Earpiece speaker repairs typically range from £79 to £119, depending on the model. This includes testing, fitting a genuine speaker module, and a two-year warranty.

We will always confirm the exact cost once we inspect your device.

Is this covered under Apple warranty?

If your iPhone is still within warranty and has no signs of liquid damage, the Apple Store may cover this repair. However, if your device is out of warranty or Apple has refused service, we can complete the repair quickly and affordably with original parts.

Can moisture damage the earpiece speaker?

Yes. Even a small amount of liquid entering through the top speaker grill can cause the earpiece speaker to fail. This is one of the most common causes of speaker issues, especially in the iPhone 12 range.

We check for signs of corrosion and clean the area as part of the repair process.

Will I lose Face ID during this repair?

No. We take extra care during repair to preserve all linked modules, including Face ID and the front camera system. These parts are mounted together in the same bracket, and we remove and reinstall them properly during the process.

What if the issue is not the speaker?

If testing shows the speaker is working and the issue lies with the screen or logic board, we will upgrade to a full diagnostic. You will receive a quote and a detailed repair plan.

We never guess or swap parts unnecessarily.

How long does the repair take?

Most earpiece speaker repairs are completed within 2 to 3 hours. If your repair is more complex or we need to order a specific part, we will let you know upfront.

Do you use original Apple parts?

Yes. All speaker replacements use genuine Apple parts, reclaimed and tested in-house for performance and compatibility. We do not use generic or aftermarket components.

Will my microphone or FaceTime audio be affected?

No. We test all surrounding components before and after the repair, including the microphone, proximity s

What does your warranty cover?

All earpiece speaker repairs come with a two-year warranty covering the part and the repair itself. This includes issues like distortion, failure, or improper fit caused by the repair.

Accidental damage, liquid damage, or future faults caused by drops are not covered.
