iPad Glass Screen Prices

If the glass on your iPad is cracked, shattered, or no longer responds correctly to touch, a glass screen repair may be possible. This repair applies only to specific iPad models where the glass digitiser is physically separate from the LCD panel. On these models, the glass can be replaced without changing the display underneath, allowing for a more cost-effective and environmentally responsible repair.

Cracked glass is not just a cosmetic issue. It can cause inaccurate touch response, sharp edges, and further damage over time as moisture and debris enter the device. At iCorrect, we carefully remove the damaged glass, preserve the original LCD, and install a high-quality replacement digitiser using controlled heat, specialist tools, and precision alignment.

Our Process

Each iPad goes through a full inspection before repair to confirm eligibility, followed by post-repair testing to ensure touch accuracy, display clarity, and overall stability. This repair is carried out only when it meets our quality standards and makes technical sense for the device.

Because glass-only repairs are only possible on iPad models where the digitiser is physically separate from the LCD, we first verify the screen construction before proceeding. If the LCD is laminated to the glass or shows any signs of damage, we will advise against this repair and explain the correct alternative. When eligible, the original LCD is retained, preserving colour accuracy, brightness, and True Tone functionality where supported. Final checks include multi-point touch testing, edge responsiveness, and structural integrity to ensure the iPad performs reliably in daily use.

FAQs

Learn more about iCorrect, the essential repair services that we offer and the warranties that come with each repair.

What is an iPad glass screen repair?

A glass screen repair involves replacing only the outer glass digitiser of the iPad while keeping the original LCD panel intact. This is possible only on iPad models where the glass and LCD are separate components. The repair restores touch functionality and removes cracks without replacing the full display.

Does this repair work on all iPad models?

No. This repair is only available on iPad models with a non-laminated screen, where the glass digitiser and LCD are separate layers. Many newer iPads use laminated displays, meaning the glass and LCD are fused together and must be replaced as a single unit. We always confirm eligibility before proceeding.

What happens if the LCD is damaged as well?

If the LCD underneath the glass is damaged, showing lines, black spots, no image, or backlight issues, a glass-only repair is not suitable. In those cases, we would need to replace the LCD panel as well. We will always confirm this during diagnostics so there are no surprises.

What parts do you use for iPad glass repairs?

We use high-quality replacement digitisers that meet strict performance and durability standards. Where possible, we prioritise parts that closely match original Apple specifications to ensure accurate touch response and long-term reliability.

How long does an iPad glass screen repair take?

Our turnaround time for iPad repairs is 2-3 working days. This is to ensure that the device is fully tested both before and after the repair, and also properly sealed once the screen has been replaced.

Will my Apple Pencil still work after the repair?

Yes. After the repair is completed, Apple Pencil functionality remains fully intact. Touch accuracy, pressure sensitivity, palm rejection, and Apple Pencil pairing are all tested during post-repair checks to ensure the Pencil works exactly as expected on the repaired display.

Is my data safe during the repair?

Yes. A glass screen repair does not affect internal storage or software. Your data remains intact. However, we always recommend keeping a recent backup as a general best practice before any repair.

Do you offer a warranty on iPad glass screen repairs?

Yes. All glass screen repairs are covered by a warranty that protects against faults related to the repair or part itself. This does not cover accidental damage or new impacts, but it ensures peace of mind regarding workmanship and materials.
