iPad Diagnostic Prices

If your iPad is not turning on, showing unusual behaviour, or has had a failed repair attempt, the best first step is a full diagnostic. A diagnostic is where we identify the fault properly, not just guess. Whether it is a charging issue, power failure, display fault, or something more complex, we go deeper than other shops to find out exactly what is wrong.

At iCorrect, we specialise in microelectronics-level diagnostics. We use high-precision power testing equipment, visual inspection, and full disassembly to get to the root of the issue. We then inspect the logic board under a microscope and trace power and data pathways to confirm the fault. You will receive a clear report, a fixed-price repair quote, and the confidence that you are getting a proper, targeted repair.

Our Process

Most iPad diagnostics are completed within two to three working days. During that time, we test for common issues such as battery failure, charging faults, liquid damage, or internal short circuits. We also check for signs of a previous failed repair, such as missing screws, poor solder joints, or incorrectly fitted parts.

If you have been told your iPad cannot be repaired, we would still advise booking it in. Our diagnostics go further than Apple and other shops, and in most cases we can recover and restore devices that were previously written off. We believe repairing a high-quality iPad is nearly always better than replacing it, especially when it is done properly.

FAQs

Learn more about iCorrect, the essential repair services that we offer and the warranties that come with each repair.

What is an iPad diagnostic and why do I need one?

An iPad diagnostic is a full inspection and test of your iPad to identify the exact fault. This is essential when the device is not turning on, has charging issues, unusual behaviour, or signs of liquid damage.

We begin with a power test using a precision ammeter to measure intake current. From there, we carry out visual checks, disassemble the iPad, and test internal components including the logic board. Based on the findings, we build a repair plan and provide a fixed quote.

My iPad is completely dead. Can you still test it?

Yes. That is exactly what our diagnostics are for. If your iPad shows no signs of life, we can still trace the power pathway and locate the cause.

This could be a failed battery, charging port, or even damage to the power management circuit. We specialise in identifying these types of faults accurately and quickly.

Can you diagnose faults Apple said were unrepairable?

Yes. Apple’s diagnostics are surface-level. If the issue is on the logic board, they often recommend full device replacement.

At iCorrect, we go deeper. We test individual components on the logic board to identify faults at micro level. That is how we can often repair what Apple writes off.

How long does an iPad diagnostic take?

We usually complete diagnostics in two to three working days. This gives us enough time to run proper testing, full disassembly, and in-depth fault isolation.

If you need a quicker turnaround, we may be able to offer an express diagnostic depending on availability.

How much does it cost to run a diagnostic on my iPad?

Diagnostics cost £39 including VAT. This covers all testing, inspection, and a detailed report of what we found.

If you decide to go ahead with the repair, this cost is deducted from the total. If you choose not to proceed, there is no further obligation.

What happens if the logic board is damaged?

If the fault lies on the logic board, we will provide you with a clear quote for repair. We do not automatically suggest replacements.

We have one of the highest board repair success rates in the industry. Unless the board is beyond salvage, we will do everything we can to fix it.

Can you diagnose liquid damage properly?

Yes. Liquid damage is one of our specialties. We inspect for corrosion, short circuits, and component degradation caused by moisture.

Our goal is to clean, test, and restore the board to prevent future faults. We never take shortcuts with water-damaged devices.

What if my iPad has already had a failed repair elsewhere?

No problem. We often deal with iPads that have been opened or poorly repaired by other shops.

We can assess the damage, clean up previous attempts, and advise you honestly on what it will take to get the iPad working properly again.

Will I get a full report after the diagnostic?

Yes. You will receive a clear, written summary of what we found, what is causing the issue, and how we can repair it.

In cases of liquid damage or failed repairs, we include internal photos so you can see exactly what we are dealing with.

What if I decide not to go ahead with the repair?

If you do not want to proceed, we offer a trade-in option where you can recycle the iPad with us. We will give you a value based on its condition and apply it towards a replacement if we have one in stock.

Many of our clients use this option when upgrading or replacing a damaged iPad, and it is an easy way to make sure your device is recycled properly.
